There's no description on the box, but you probably get the idea. They're a rendition of a certain well-known sandwich cookie.
A 20 ounce box sells for $2.99.

My take: Trader Joe's has another hit with these little sandwich cookies. Very similar in taste and texture to an Oreo. The chocolate creme is good on its own...yes, I scraped my teeth along a couple of them to see (all in the name of research). The cookies are crunchy, chocolatey, and not too sweet.
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars
Kiddo's take: I would take these over Oreos any day. The cookie (once eaten, of course) is bursting with flavor, and the rich chocolate creme sandwiched inside is quite possibly the best I've ever tasted. More, please!
Overall rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Trader Joe's Joe-Joe's: just as good as their famous counterpart.

ReplyDeleteYou know you're killing me with these reviews. I never buy this stuff at TJ's, and have been so proud of my restraint. You & Kiddo are breaking me down....cookie by cookie.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me painfully aware I don't have a Trader Joes haha
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this kind, but my husband and I are obsessed with the vanilla joe joes. I really do think they are better than oreos. Something about the vanilla tastes so..REAL! If you haven't tried those yet, I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteI just bought these today! My boys love them more than Oreos too! Love a field trip to TJ! laura
ReplyDeleteThe peppermint ones at Christmas are irresistible.
ReplyDeleteOk, missing that we don't have a trader joe's more and more!
ReplyDeleteYum! I will have to try these!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't already tried them you have to try their chocolate croissants (the almond is awesome too) and the Kouign Amann (butter caramel flakey pastry goodness). They are in the freezer section and you pull them out overnight and they proof and double in size, then you bake in the morning. You will love them!
easy to make and tasty to eat
