Sweet on Trader Joe's Sunday: Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie

Trader Joe's Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie review

First things first, let me apologize for these photos. They're a little blurry. It's a dark rainy day here, so that could be a contributing factor. Also, maybe my hand was shaking in anticipation of eating the cookie. Either way, I'm sorry!

Alrighty, we're reviewing Trader Joe's Deep Dish Chocolate Chip Cookie. You'll find it in the freezer section; it bakes from frozen. One cookie costs $3.89.

{yes, we're still using our valentine napkins. ♥}

She says: How bad can a warm chocolate chip cookie be really? Not bad. Don't get me wrong...I liked this, a lot. I just didn't LOVE it. (I can't put my finger on why.) You'll probably want to top with ice cream...oh baby. We didn't so our review would be for just the cookie. Good stuff, but I've had better skillet cookies. I do disagree with TJs (shock!) on one point. The box says it serves 10. I'd say this is more like serves 2 to 4. ;)

He says: This was so good that I forgot about pairing it with a Texas 2018-vintage 2% milk or a late-2017 vanilla ice cream.  This was tasty and had about the right amount of chocolate.  It makes me wonder if those restaurants that serve these type desserts in a metal mini-skillet use TJ's or actually make their own!

  2. I love everything Tj's and was so excited to try it, I ran to the store that day, just for that! I was disappointed !I felt like it was too dry, even with ice cream. I thought more on the lines of a pazookie, and this just sadly fell short Just my opinion!
