12 Days of Trader Joe's Christmas, Day 9: Tantalizing Truffles

Trader Joe's review: Tantalizing Truffles

Merry Christmas!!! I hope you all had a happy Christmas day and enjoy the rest of the Christmas season...hopefully in yoga pants and still munching on Trader Joe's goodies. (This is my plan.)

Today, we're reviewing Trader Joe's 12 Tantalizing Truffles. This set of 12 truffles (6 flavors) comes in a nice box for gifting and costs $4.99.

The flavors are Fudge Brownie, Sugar Cookie & Sprinkles, Speculoos Cookie Milk Chocolate, Caramel Nut, White Chocolate Stroopwaffel, and Gingerbread Spice. Four of the flavors are filled, two are not.

She says: When I think "truffle," I think Godiva. The crispy shell and the creamy interior make for the ideal truffle in my mind...and mouth. These are not that. I enjoyed the filled ones more so than the unfilled. Texture-wise, they're more like a piece of a chocolate bar. Believe it or not, Sugar Cookie was my least favorite of the bunch (maybe because it was the one I was most looking forward to trying) and my favorite was Gingerbread. Good? Yes. Godiva? No.

He says (Mr. E):  The name says it all!  These are indeed tantalizing.  This box of truffles was so full of flavor that if they came in a box from Macy's or Nordstrom's and cost twice as much, I wouldn't have given it any less of a rating.  Every flavor represents itself well, whether filled or not.  Well done, TJ's!  Go get some...
