Desserts for Dudes month!!!
{the 3rd Annual to be exact}
What IS Desserts for Dudes month? In honor of the month of Father's Day, I'll highlight some dude-worthy desserts throughout the month.
To be clear...
- You need not be a dude to enjoy these desserts.
- The desserts I have chosen are based on the dudes in my life; your dude's tastes may differ.
Let's highlight some of the favorites from the last two years.
Dude-worthy cookies...
Real men eat layered ice cream...
Dude-licious brownies....
Manly Shortcakes...
What would you think about a link-up party at the end of the month? You can link up a post or picture of one of YOUR dude's favorite desserts. (No linking back or buttons to post required.)
Do your dudes have a sweet tooth?
I remember those KFC cookies. So clever!! I can't wait to check out the linky to see what everyone comes up with!

ReplyDeleteSo many unique recipes, it's hard to choose which one I like best. However, I'm ready to dive into your Mocha Toffee Crunch Terrine. That looks deadly!
ReplyDeleteMine certainly does have a sweet tooth, all he eats is junk, but still manages to have a 4-6 pack most of the year. *grumble, grumble. At least he will eat anything I make. Your manly desserts look delish!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be part of a link-up party! I've just got to think of a completely amazing Father's Day baked good... My Dad's actually been bugging me to bake him something for a while, so what better excuse? He's a big nature-lover so it'll have to be something like that, hmm...
ReplyDeleteSo how do your link-up parties work, exactly? Should people e-mail you links to the dude dessert posts? Do we all post something the same day?
You can post any time....it can even be an old post. On the last day of the month, I'll publish a post and at the end, there will be a place for your to enter the URL of your post. :)

ReplyDeleteAs a dude (and resident budding baker in the house), I'm looking forward to trying out the brownie & shortcake recipes (I'm still at the "drop cookie" level in my cookie-making skills)... Thanks for the recipes!
ReplyDeleteYour fried chicken cookies are my most favorite of all time on your site! I keep meaning to make them for a super bowl party! So clever!
ReplyDeleteYour desserts for Dudes look fabulous and you certainly have a sense of humor. I just made my husband's favorite dessert yesterday: Rhubarb Pie. He only gets it at this time of year, when fresh rhubarb is in season. Would love to participate in a "linked" party.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I both have HUGE sweet tooths....er, teeth? I always joke I'm surprised he didntbproposevwith a Ring Pop!
ReplyDeleteMy dude is getting baklava for Father's Day. The poor thing has practically been begging for it...and putting the girls up to asking me to make it, too. HA! I guarantee it will be well-received at our house. ;)

ReplyDeleteSadly, my dude doesn't have a single sweet tooth! I have to bring all my treats into work so I don't eat them all!
ReplyDeleteMy DUDE enjoys sweet stuff - but not too much! These are definitely not limited to dudes though! That icecream looks so good! And i just ADORE the KFC cookies - so cute!
ReplyDeleteI am dying over the pecan chewies. Here were some treats I made for "dudes" - chocolate cigars to begin: http://blog.candiquik.com/?p=2037 & http://blog.candiquik.com/?p=3562
