{Now that I have your attention...}
Picky Palate...I'm not even sure how long I've been reading Jenny's blog, but it's been one of my favorites ever since discovering it. Mom to 3 adorable boys, Jenny shares her family's favorite meals on Picky Palate.
Need a dinner idea? Jenny's got you covered. Need a cookie recipe? Jenny has that, too.
(Those are Jenny's world-famous Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies.)
Jenny was kind enough to let me share a recipe from the book, and well, I went straight for the cookies.
{Are you surprised?}
No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter-Butterscotch Bars caught my eye because they have it ALL! Chocolate, peanut butter AND butterscotch. Hello, delicious!
You're going to want to make these. These bars are rich, fudgy, and so worth every millimeter they'll add to your hips.
No-Bake Chocolate-Peanut Butter-Butterscotch Bars
{with permission from The Picky Palate Cookbook}
2 cups butterscotch chips (11 oz. bag is ok)
4 TBSP butter, softened and divided (I used salted)
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 (12 oz) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
Line an 8x8" pan with foil (with some overhang for lifting) and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Now that you've seen those bars, you'd like a copy of the book, wouldn't you?
Nod your head. You do.

"I am, by far, the pickiest eater in my family. That is the main reason that I cook. I can control the process and ingredients."
Go on, take a bite!
My son is definitely the pickiest eater in our family, unfortunately my daughter is not far behind him. I love Jenny's blog, too, I'd love to win a copy of her cookbook!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter won't eat fruit and my middle daughter won't eat meat, so I guess it's a toss-up!
ReplyDeleteI'm without a doubt the pickiest eater in my family. One example - I don't like peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteThese look incredible!
ReplyDeleteMy mom is truly the pickiest eater. I would try to introduce new non-scary foods (roasted broccoli as opposed to steamed) and she makes the worst faces! I keep trying though :)
ReplyDeleteMe. It's me. I'm the pickiest. But since I'm also the cook, I get to make what I like!
ReplyDeleteI think it's probably my 7 year old son. I'm a pretty close contender, though.
ReplyDeleteThey look AMAZING!! Omg PB + butterscotch + choc is my THING! :)
ReplyDeletewho is the pickiest eater in your family = my husband but really, I am blessed, no one is picky. They know they better eat my recipe trials..or else... :)
OMG, that looks delicious! I loved her blog, especially because I don't now many food blogs, just the dessert ones (:

The pickiest eater in our family is my 7 yr old little sister.. but im sure she'll have no problem getting these down! :D
ReplyDeleteIm amazed at how many are themselves the pickiest eater. And I'm raising my hand too. My husband will eat anything. I was horrified when I found out he was eating salami/peanut butter sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteMy 13 year old son has been the pickiest eater in our house since he was a toddler!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my 5 year old...
ReplyDeleteI have two girls (4 and 9), and they both have there moments!
ReplyDeleteMy 3 year old son. Veggies?! What?!
ReplyDeleteIt's just me at home and I'm not a picky eater, but would love the book!
ReplyDeleteit's just my husband and me in our family, and we are both very adventurous eaters! i am probably more picky though :)
ReplyDeleteMy 4 yo is our pickiest by far. He could eat pb&j every meal every day.
ReplyDeleteOf the two of us, my husband is the pickiest eater. I would just as soon eat a PB sandwich than cook a meal, but he insists that we need to eat a real meal. Me? I'd rather eat cake.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that would have to be the husband. Yesterday he had a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast.. and lunch. Ridic.
ReplyDeleteDef my mother in law! Would love to get this cookbook!!
ReplyDeleteThat would be my sister!
ReplyDeletekaysuet@hotmail.com
Our son and Brother-in-law. How can one live on peanut butter, plain hot dogs, mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese? Every Holiday, I have to cook separate meals for these two, as if I don't have enough to cook.
ReplyDeletecjbrick@ymail.com
Me!!
ReplyDeletejuliannemccahill@comcast.net
My son but he is getting better.
ReplyDeleteIt has to be my cousin. There's more to life than chicken nuggets!
ReplyDeleteI think I am the pickiest eater in my house. There isn't much my daughter and husband wont' eat.
ReplyDeleteI am definately the pickiest eater in my house! I would eat these Chocolate Peanut butter butterscotch bars! They look yummy!
ReplyDeletekeshakeke at gmail dot com
Oh, and ps- katstgeorge@me.com
ReplyDeleteMy 11-month old baby girl is definitely the pickiest. She still doesn't have any teeth, so pretty much anything with texture (beside Cheerios of coarse) she's NOT going for!
ReplyDeleteThose look amazingly yummy! My pickiest eater is my son...though I can't blame him as he has a genetic disorder that limits his food to begin with.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say myself! This cookbook would be perfect.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is the pickiest eater in our house. This book is definitely on my wish list!
ReplyDeletethe bite marks are my favorite part of the picture...can't wait to make!
ReplyDeleteoh forsure my 7 yr. old daughter! this book would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteUht oh. I have every ingredient for those in my house right now. But it's true, my older sister, who is the pickiest eater in the house would gobble that whole thing up. Come to think of it, she really has no problem with sweets. Ever.
ReplyDeleteThese remind me of some cookie bars my grandmother always made us, but with rice crispies in the bottom layer. Yummm!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! L-parnellATearthlinkDOTcom
It's really a toss up between my husband and oldest daughter.
ReplyDeleteI am so lucky, I don't have any picky eaters--they all eat everything!!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was until one of my cousins beat me. For instance, if her family went out to eat they'd have to make a special trip to McDonald's for her. She'd only eat McDonald's chicken nuggets and usually couldn't find anything she'd like at restaurants.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Those look wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is definitely a picky eater, her brothers will eat anything, but she. . . is picky ;(
I used to win the prize as the pickiest eater, but now my nephew has taken the title.
ReplyDeleteYUM! These look amazing! I'm the pickiest eater by far and a pain to go out to eat with. I have lots of dietary restrictions, I don't eat meat, etc etc.
ReplyDeleteI love picky palate! And my picky eater is my 5 year old. Most days she walks in the kitchen while I'm cooking and says "I'm not eating that". She usually ends up loving it too!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest daughter, Savannah, is my pickest eater by far. She is 19 and is just now starting to try things other than chicken fingers, french fries, mashed potatoes and pound cake!
ReplyDeletelisamcgriff at hotmail dot com
My oldest son wins the honors of pickiest eater! We refer to his eating as the "great white diet". Only pasta, bread, and some chicken, all plainly made of course!
ReplyDeleteSince our family is small (my boyfriend and I), I have to say I am the picky eater. I will try most anything one time, but if I decide I don't like it, then I don't like it. He eats pretty much anything. lol Thanks for the giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty safe bet my friends will be seeing these bars this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMyself, by far, am the pickiest eater out of our small family of three. My daughter is adventurous and loves rich flavors, and my husband will eat anything.
ReplyDeleteI have the pickiest palate by far in my family.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is the pickiest.
ReplyDeleteI think I might be the pickiest eater in my family!
ReplyDeleteMy 2 year old daughter is definitely the pickiest!
ReplyDeleteMy 14 yr old daughter picks everything apart if it doesn't look good!
ReplyDeleteMy baby!
ReplyDeleteCurrently my four year old!
ReplyDeleteMy husband wins this award. He refuses to eat most vegetables, and I'm starting to get him to eat more sauces. He also doesn't like his food touching. I can't even begin to think about what kind of influence he'll be when we have kids...
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say the pickiest eater in our family is definitely my father-in-law! That man is worse than a 2 year old when it comes to dinner time! This is an awesome giveaway and I'd LOVE to win a copy of Jenny's book!
ReplyDeleteAsking questions are really good thing if you are not understanding anything completely, but this piece of writing offers pleasant understanding yet.
ReplyDeleteMy web blog : direct download movies
My husband and oldest daughter are by far the pickiest!!
ReplyDeleteGood post. I will be going through some of these issues as well.
ReplyDelete.

I am! And since I am the cook in the house dinners are pretty routine. Not good, I know.
ReplyDeleteWell I live alone but my brother is definitely the pickiest!
ReplyDeleteThese bars look so good! Mmm...
Me, that's why I do the cooking. :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom is the pickiest eater on the planet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :)
punkers111 (@) hotmail (dot) com
I think that might just be me.
ReplyDeletepianoman2010@hughes.net
I'd say my daughter, Madeline. She's only 3 but very opinionated! :o)
ReplyDeleteWould love a chance at that cookbook! Thanks for doing the giveaway!
giffswife@hotmail.com
The Husband.
ReplyDeleteThe pickiest eater in my family is my older brother. He won't try anything new!
ReplyDeleteOur pickiest eat is our 5 year old son. If it's not mac n cheese or cheese sandwhiches, it's madness trying to get him to eat.
ReplyDeleteThat would be my be my nephew. He would eat a peanutbutter sandwich for every meal if his mom let him.
ReplyDeleteI'd say my daughter is the pickiest - but it's not usually certain foods. It's just that sometimes she doesn't want to eat. We'll serve something one day and she won't eat it. We'll serve it again the next day for lunch and she'll eat like there's no tomorrow.
ReplyDeletethe pickiest eater in my family is actually my nephew Jeremiah. He wnt eat anything expect the cookies that his aunt makes fer him :)
ReplyDeleteI am! Or if we are thinking more broadly, my brother is the pickiest. I cannot nail down what he will like. Makes life interesting.
ReplyDeleteI have a 6 yr old nephew who is extremely picky. We are lucky if we can get him to eat anything. He does like yogurt however and zucchini bread and artichoke dip. But that is about it.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my 4 year old son. I think he would eat chicken nuggets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if we let him!
ReplyDeleteThe pickiest eater in my house? I think I am the winner of this title!
ReplyDeleteMy autistic daughter is the pickiest for sure.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the pickiest eater - but it turns out my 7 year old girl is...I wonder where she got that from? ::looks around sheepishly:: - She won't try ANYTHING. Ever.
ReplyDeleteMan, is it frustrating.
Sorry MOM!
My HUSBAND!
ReplyDeleteWhen I started dating him we only ate plain hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and plain Subway sandwiches.
He's improved slightly but its pretty pathetic!
Our son-in-law....so many foods he doesn't like, and then there are the ones he can't eat because of how his body reacts to them. It's interesting trying to come up with a balanced meal for him!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh. I think I need to make these TODAY. Right now I have the pickiest diet...but not by choice! I'm nursing my 8 month old that seems to be allergic to everything! Hopefully he grows out of it soon!
ReplyDeleteMy 3 1/2 year old son is so picky. For the most part he doesn't like fruit, vegetables, or even peanut butter. It's such a struggle to come up with a good meal plan that everyone likes!
ReplyDeleteMy brother is the pickiest eater in my family. But, my boyfriend is even more so! I joke that my boyfriend will only eat foods that are on a children's menu. Pizza, chicken fingers, burgers, mac and cheese, pasta, etc. This book would be great for our relationship!
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old is by far the pickiest eater in the family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win :)
My stepson is (was) the pickiest. He survived on chicken nuggets for years. Luckily he's grown out of a lot of it. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is hands-down the pickiest eater in the family, although he will try most anything once. Tough critic, though. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love butterscotch! I used to make something like this with special K cereal. I wonder if I still have that recipe somewhere...
ReplyDeleteMy little sister is the pickiest eater in the family. Nothing spicy, no pickles, mustard, avocados, mushrooms or frozen vegetables. It's no fun because my mom and I can't try many new recipes.
ReplyDeleteLeslie:
ReplyDeleteI am, by far, the pickiest eater in my family. That is the main reason that I cook. I can control the process and ingredients.
leslieannstevenson@yahoo.com
Hurrah, that's what I was exploring for, what a information! existing here at this weblog, thanks admin of this web page.
ReplyDeleteMy page ; how to make an app
Would have to be my middle sister-- chicken fingers and mac and cheese is about all she'd eat!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely my 5 year old daughter. As a 1-2 year old she ate almost anything we gave her...then the next few years...different story. We don't pressure her too much (we've learned nothing works) but we give her what we're having, and she can choose what to eat - I refuse to make two meals! The funny part is that when we've been able to convince her to try something - she usually ends up liking it. Luckily our 4 year old son will eat most anything :-)
ReplyDeleteMy 4 year old son is by far the pickiest eater I know.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter was our pickiest eater. I never did understand how she could be so picky. Our son was a very adventuresome eater as are my husband and I. She has never even tasted turkey! Seriously! She eats boneless, skinless chicken breasts but won't touch bone-in chicken. Never eats pork, but does eat sausage!!! Hates bacon!
ReplyDeleteMy son,Adam,is the pickiest eater in my family! My daughter will eat anything!!
ReplyDeletemu husband and I are good eaters and always willing to try new things. However, my sister-in-law is super picky and now her two sons are the same - they had hard-boiled eggs for thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteMy 21 year old brother is the pickiest eater in our family!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the pickiest eater. Things have to be made "just so" or they will not be touched.
ReplyDeleteMy 5 year old son, Max, is our pickiest eater. He won't eat anything with cheese, anything red, or any vegetables other than peas and broccoli (weird, I know).
ReplyDeleteMy 10 year old son, Sam. I wouldn't say he is really that picky. He hates things like casseroles. He is my vegetable and fruit eater, so I really cannot complain. Looks like a great cookbook!
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteMy 28 year old Brother, still acts like he's being poisoned at the dinner table. Yet he will happily eat McDonalds.
ReplyDeleteLove those desserts from Picky Palate!
ReplyDeleteKaren
My four year old daughter is our families pickiest eater!
ReplyDeletevklmarie78@gmail.com
My youngest son is the pickiest eater and my oldest son is a close second but he has tried many new things lately. I make 2 separate meals at dinner, one for my wife and I, one for the kids. I make pizza from scratch at least once and week that everyone loves, family and friends, it takes him forever to "choke" it down. It's actually getting quite bad here!
ReplyDeletejlammers002@woh.rr.com
Has to be my husband. After thirty years I am still trying...:)
ReplyDeleteConfession: I'm probably the pickiest eater at our house. =)
ReplyDeleteJust found this site and I love it! The pickiest eater at my house is my 10 year old daughter. Her Thanksgiving meal consisted of turkey and rolls. The only way to get her to eat veggies is to blend them into a fruit smoothie (add baby spinach, blend with lots of fruit, yogurt, juice, etc. and you can't taste it). Love the recipes that I have seen so far.
ReplyDeleteOMG - these look soooooo good! I live by myself and I'm really not a picky eater. My basset hound hates "additions" to his food. He once picked out a chopped up egg out of his dinner and left it by the side of his bowl. What a silly goon!
ReplyDeleteThe pickiest eater in my household is my two year old. He practically lives off of bread and yogurt. I have to hide fruits and veggies in baked goods or cover the veggies in cheese.
ReplyDeleteerinknack08@yahoo.com
Come to Mama! I would have ZERO restraint around these! :)
ReplyDeleteYou wanna talk abaout picky....my daughter is 23 and lives on chicken, peanut butter, crackers and french fries!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo making those bars!!! My husband is the pickiest eater. It's the same dinners every week, boring!!!!!!!!!! I would love this book!
ReplyDeleteThe pickiest eater in my house would have to be my boyfriend. I love him to death, but he tends to dislike most tings that contain cheese, and this is horrible.
ReplyDeleteLook @ those teethmarks!
ReplyDeleteIrresistible.....
Me, probably. But her recipes remind me of my childhood! I want them all!
ReplyDeletekainkath@grinnell.edu
I don't have any really picky eaters, but that cookbook looks FANTASTIC!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like everybody in our family being picky. The only thing we can agree on is pizza ;)
ReplyDeletesunnyfarm at inbox dot ru
My son is by far the pickiest eater in our family. After years of food therapy (who knew there was such a thing!!) we haven't made much progress. He somehow survives on Life Cereal and a short list of other foods. My younger son would benefit greatly from this cookbook. He tries to follow his brother's lead but has tried enough foods to know that there is more to food than cereal. What a gorgeous book!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteProbably a tie between my 4 yr old and myself. We both have texture "issues."
ReplyDeleteMy 3 year just starting having issues with texture, so she is now the pickiest!
ReplyDeleteMy 2-year old. But what 2-year old isn't? I'm never sure what he will eat on any given day.
ReplyDeleteI am the pickiest eater my house! my future husband loves everything but liver and bleu cheese and me I hate all veggies and fruit!
ReplyDeleteThat would be me! I won't even try foods based on how they look!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'm the pickiest eater! I'd take mashed potatoes over a world famous steak any day! Give me a kids menu I'm a happy gal.
ReplyDeleteProbably a tie between my husband and my stepson. They'd love these bars tho!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is the picky eater in our house
ReplyDeleteLooks so delicious! I reckon I could eat about 100 of them!
ReplyDeleteMy 2-year-old daughter is definitely the most picky eater in our house!
ReplyDeleteme!! and those bars are intoxicating
ReplyDeleteMy 6 year old son is BY FAR the pickiest eater in our family, he drives me crazy! I am drooling over these bars, oh my goodness.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have any picky eaters in my home (how lucky am I?!?), but my nephew is the pickiest eater I've ever met. When he comes over I make him take "adventure bites" of food he wouldn't normally eat. Mean, or what??? My husband drooled over the picture of those bars. They have his 3 favorite flavors in them!
ReplyDeleteMy sister, the health nut.
ReplyDeleteMy husband! Jenny's cookbook may be just what we need. :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom, the health note. I need this book to show her what she's missing!
ReplyDeleteI might have just died and gone to butterscotch heaven! These bars are incredible (Just like Jenny!)!
ReplyDeleteProbably me! I like what I like--which is most things--but what I don't like, I DETEST!! Drives my husband crazy, because if a "bad list" food even touches anything else, I won't eat it.
ReplyDeleteThe happiest thing in life is to have a healthy body to enjoy the food.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is by FAR the pickiest eater in the house, well surpassing our 19-month-old son!.... Good thing he'll never know that his favorite mac 'n' cheese recipe is primarily butternut squash, haha!
ReplyDeleteMy brother! - he HATES tomatos but LOVES tomato soup, speghetti sauce, salsa, -- pretty much ANYTHING made with tomatos!! plus a million other things he doesn't like -- like grapes, blueberries, etc... I can't believe him!!!
ReplyDelete-Laura O'Dorisio
our10kids@cox.net
These look like the kind of cookie that you finish making and say you'll wait for your hubby to come home to eat them... and then end up eating half the pan and hiding the other half, then when said hubby comes home you greet him at the door with a kiss...and he smells peanut butter and chocolate on your breath, and as much as you don't want to you have to give up the hiding place of the rest of the cookies. I must make these, and hide the evidence!! ;)
ReplyDeleteP.S- I would have to say the pickiest eater is my husband, for sure. The man won't even eat mushrooms, for goodness sake!
Bakeitinlewiston@yahoo.com
you name it ... one wont eat cheese, one only chicken, one veg...
ReplyDeleteMy youngest is the winner by far. Picky about everything, including how many bites he has to take.
ReplyDeletespoke023@hotmail.com
My dtr is now that I finally got my hubby to start eating veggies. These bars look fantastic! I am starting Christmas baking today so I'll be adding these to the list.
ReplyDeleteoh, definitely my 3 year old son! :)
ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter has become quit the picky eater here lately. All of a sudden she won't eat many of the things she used to request. No beans, weenies, tomatoes or sauce......this new list goes on and on. Makes it difficult for supper sometimes.
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old daughter is incredibly picky. She might actually think this cookbook was written for her and want to try a recipe from it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the PICKIEST eater I know. No veggies, only meat. I might have to buy this cookbook if I am not lucky enough to win it.
ReplyDeletePicky...that would totally be my 12 year old son....
ReplyDeleteMy 11 year old son - by far!
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone have a picky palate around scrumptious treats like this one?!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this book! Let see, not sure who is the most picky eater at my house might be--big toss up between Hubby and my 21 yo daughter!! Thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteMy 16 year old daughter is definitely the pickiest eater in my house. She would love those peanut butter bars though!!! She isn't that picky when it comes to sweets, it's just everything else.
ReplyDeleteSue
I would love to get your book- it looks so fabulous! Thanks for sharing -I think
ReplyDeletethat we are luck not to have any picky eaters!
cyndihamm22@yahoo.com
My kids are the pickiest- don't really know where they get it from, but it's always a challenge to make mealtime enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteallegratuscany@gmail.com
To be honest - it's probably me, only because I really don't like a handful of specific vegetables like mushrooms, eggplant, and fruit like kiwis.
ReplyDeleteThe oldest son won't eat green veggies...and the youngest son loves salad! Can get rather conflicted around here! ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest son is my pickiest eater. We thought he was a born vegetarian for a while. We still can't get him to eat beef, but he will nibble on some chicken or turkey at lunch time if there is nothing that sounds better to him.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a very picky eater, but as I've gotten older I've been more brave about trying out different types of foods.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely the pickiest eater in our house as my husband and our dog will pretty much eat anything. The dog is definitely not picky - he will eat anything whether it's food (bacon) or not food (house gutters).
ReplyDeleteMy 11 yo daughter is for sure the pickiest in our house. She's daring - loves curry, tofu, all sorts of more exotic things - but hates any sandwich besides PB&J and refuses to eat eggs. Makes daily breakfast and lunch a bit tedious so I've started making Crock Pots of steel cut oats on Sunday nights and then for lunch, we've compromised on hummus and veg or the PG&J.
ReplyDelete{Sorry if this is a duplicate comment...seems my computer doesn't always like these Blogger embedded comment boxes}
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I aren't picky but my grandmother sure is!
Those look great! This book looks like it might be perfect for my picky eaters!
ReplyDeleteMy 17 year old son is my picky eater, and I love Jenny's blog!!
ReplyDeletethese look delicious. My sister is the world's pickiest eater
ReplyDeleteMy brother in law. His mom used to peel the skin off grapes and hot dogs so he'd eat them. Ridiculous!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son is the pickiest eater in our family of three. (Ma, Pa and our son)
ReplyDeleteMarissa Huntley
The pickiest eater? ...I admit it, that would have to be me. However, I absolutely love all things peanut butter! I'll definitely be trying out this recipe sometime!
ReplyDeleteI don't have any picky eaters in my family we eat everything, that's what's so appealing about the great recipes in this book. We are big time dessert lovers!
ReplyDeleteI've just got to have Jenny's cookbook!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure every recipe is so easy and fun and delicious!
These bars look so easy and scrumptious!
Congrats to Jenny!
And I love that yellow gingham spatula!
You know I do!
xo
Love you too!
My eight-year-old son is my picky eater! I love Picky Palate and this cookbook looks like it would be the perfect thing for me to use to cook for him!
ReplyDeleteMy 6 year old is def. the pickiest eater. Won't eat many veggies and no meat (unless you count the "meat" in Banquet meals. Makes me feel like a bad mom feeding him all that sodium and junk. Always looking for something new that he would try and like.
ReplyDeleteI feel very blessed I don't have picky eaters. We have other issues though so I'm not bragging! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy dad is pretty picky... as in he love fried foods and when I want to try something "green" or "veggie friendly" he turns up his nose!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter, nothing white, cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, exception milk
ReplyDeleteThat would be me!And
ReplyDeletethose bars look delicious!...Olga
olga.plou73@gmail.com
My four year old son is by far the pickiest eater in our home! Even his two year old sister out eats him!
ReplyDeleteoh that looks like something I want to try now I want the book
ReplyDeleteYou know, I used to think my pickiest eaters were my kids, but I have since realized that it's my husband! Who doesn't like pot roast? Or bean burritos? :) This looks like a fantastic cookbook!
ReplyDeletecraemac@gmail.com
My son is by far our pickiest eater! Sometimes we wonder how he can be growing so much because he eats so little!
ReplyDeleteLove to have this book...looks almost as interesting as yours!
ReplyDeleteMy 7 year old is the pickest eater EVER, he has only eaten blueberry bagels since 18 months old...nothing else! It is ridiclous.
ReplyDeleteI love Jenny and would love to win her cookbook
Mmmmmm! These look so yummy :D

My 6 year old boy! I can't even make cupcakes to please him lately! Maybe this book would help...
ReplyDeleteGuilty picky eater right here! I live off of ramen, hamburgers, and salmon. This sounds uh-mazing though!
ReplyDeleteMia, Denver Car Accident Lawyer
I was a horribly picky eater as a child, and have gotten a little better as I've become an adult. I would love this cookbook!
ReplyDeleteI was but now my cousin holds the title.
ReplyDeleteMy son by far. He's 5... He likes cheese on things, or in things, but not by itself, he likes rice only as Mexican rice, not as a side... thankfully our three year old will eat anything. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the review and offer, those bars look AWESOME!
My 20 month old son...only likes veggies in pureed soups. I guess I should be thankful he eats soups! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm totally making these bars for our family's Christmas Competition!
my mother. she automatically declare that she doesn't like something because of some color or texture, or because its a vegetable, even if she has never tasted it. rather like a child...
ReplyDeleteMy younger sister was always a rather picky eater growing up.
ReplyDeleteMe!! I'm the picky one in our family of five. :)
ReplyDelete(I don't like plain/fresh bannanas, but love bannana bread; I love peanut butter cookies, but can't stand peanut butter and jelly! :)
This recipe looks so good!♥
I was always the pickiest eater in the house as a kid. I didn't like ketchup, potato chips, gravy, spaghetti sauce, cooked carrots (they had to be raw), sweet peppers, dark meat chicken, fish... you name it! I survived on peanut butter and jam sandwiches and pizza burgers for years. That's all changed quite a bit now, there are a lot fewer things I'm not a fan of now, but olives and pickles still gross me out, I don't like capelin (a local delicacy where I grew up- they eat the whole fish, little bones and all! Ugh!), spicy food, or lobster.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I will never, ever turn down is dessert... I never met a sweet I didn't like!
Great giveaway, thanks!
It's a small family (just my fiance, our dog, and me!), but my future hubby is definitely the pickiest! He has very strict "will not touch" lists :)
ReplyDeleteI think I win the pickiest eater prize.. my dad certainly does not. He once ate moldy spaghetti thinking it was covered in pesto sauce!
ReplyDeleteMy 6you is the pickiest in our house. Recently she had tried foods and has liked most of them, but it is hard to get her to stray from her limited menu.
ReplyDeleteMy 28 year old husband is the pickiest eater in our house! There's a whole list of "weird foods" (yogurt for example!) that he won't even touch! Silly boy!
ReplyDeleteMy three daughters each went through a picky stage at about 3 or 4, but my youngest (now 13) has yet to outgrow it! She has shown some willingness lately to try a few more things, so we are hopeful she'll become as adventurous as her older sisters eventually.
ReplyDelete
