Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Batons review
The batons are a single serving size of 1.25 ounces each. The bars are segmented, so they are easy to break apart if you want to share...or just for easier eating in your car on the way home from the store. *ahem* They cost $0.99. A bargain!

Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Batons review

He says: These dark chocolate batons were a joy to review.  The sections were just the right size for each one of the tastings.  I had to go ‘round twice to be sure.  The 70% dark was my favorite and very smooth.  The 60% cacao raspberry and espresso were 2nd and third.  The raspberry flavor was strong but balanced, but the espresso didn't pack the same punch flavorwise.
Overall rating:  4 stars as a group

She says: Helllloooooo, chocolate! I liked one of these, I really liked one of these, and I really, really liked one of these. Ha. The plain dark chocolate one was good. There are varieties of dark chocolate that I enjoy more, so while good, I probably wouldn't pick it up again. The cocoa content is at 72% for the plain one making it a tad more bitter than the other two at 60%. The espresso variety reminded me of the chocolate-covered espresso beans I used to eat by the palmful when I worked at the mall in the 90s. A little bit of coffee bean crunch...a little buzz. So great. The raspberry one is my favorite. The bits of freeze-dried raspberries are bright and tart. It reminds me a bit of one of my other favorites from the 90s, the Godiva Raspberry Truffle. (Ah, the mall was good to me.) Pick up one or two of these for your Valentine. ♥
Overall rating:
PLAIN: 4 of 5 stars
ESPRESSO: 4.5 of 5 stars
RASPBERRY: 5 of 5 stars
