It's a . . . baby shower cookies

These baby face cookies are really some of my favorites. "It's a Boy!" cookies were treats at a baby shower last weekend.

A friend used these "It's a Girl!" cookies to announce to her family and co-workers the results from her ultrasound. It was fun to get the call from her and be one of the first in the know!

The first time I made baby face cookies, my husband strolled into the kitchen when I had the faces on, the hair and the eyes, but no wording or mouth. He said, "Those are cute! Little bald guys with mustaches?" I about died! Talk about what you don't want to hear when you are making BABY cookies. But, look at them upside-down and I see what he means. :)

    Bea....it is a cutter made by Wilton, but they don't make it anymore. I've gotten so many inquiries about that one cutter...they really should bring it back!

    This is one of my favorite all-purpose cookie shapes. We often use it as a picture frame to design something inside. I love your baby shower design, especially the little curly lock of hair!

    cookies and cups...I used one of the AmeriColor Gourmet Writers to make the ♥ mouth. I've tried piping it before, but I like the look of the pen better.
