I believe the cool kids call this vlogging....I call it scary!
Works for Me Wednesday is hosted over at We Are THAT Family! You can find more of my (non-video) WFMW posts here.
{And a thank you shout-out to kiddo for being the videographer. Thanks for not zooming in TOO closely on old mom!}
omygosh, could you be in cuter (love that blue top) and the tongs tip!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Great to see you in action:)
ReplyDeleteLove tongs! And such a good video, your son is good!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to remember that when my 6'7" son leave for college in the fall. My hubby is that tall too but at work most of the day. Tongs it will be!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute! That's a great idea. There are shelves not being used as much as they could be b/c I am vertically challenged. I think I found a solution!
ReplyDelete~traci
:D
I don't know why you were scared, that was great! You are so gorgeous! Thanks for the tip too!
ReplyDeletehaha great tip and I love the video. I have to ask-- some call it lazy, but you call it ______________ (?) challenged. I watched the video 5 times and couldn't make it out...
ReplyDeleteblame it on my ear infections from having the flu!
utterly-toxic...."energetically challenged" :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I thought I was the only one who did that! Great video; can't wait to see more video versions of WFMW in the future.
ReplyDeleteyeah, lazy is not how anyone would describe you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute vlog, you are so lovely :) what a great tip. Nice to SEE you!
Great video Bridget. You look even lovelier than you did on Regis and Kelly! Love the tip about the tongs. I'm only 5'2" and what's stored in my high cupboards are unfortunately too heavy for tongs. I always have to climb up on a chair or stool so mostly seasonal platters etc., that I don't require often are stashed up and away from my reach! Tell Kiddo he's got a career behind the camera...very steady hands!
ReplyDeleteLove the tip!!
ReplyDeleteHowever, what about things that you can't grab with the tongs? Do you have a step-stool?
Love this! I realized I had a problem with using tongs too much when I grabbed them the other morning making pancakes. Yep -- it was before coffee.
ReplyDeleteYou did awesome! Being 5'nothing I am both height and energetically challenged and tongs are part of my arsenal to reach upper shelves!
ReplyDeleteHey, awesome tip! I'm rather short, so this may come in handy! Thank you. Very nice video.
ReplyDeleteHi there! Niki here, stopping over from WFMW. I just wanted to pop in and check out your blog. I like what I see so far.
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog, Free 2 Be Frugal, when you get a chance!
Here I thought I was the only one lazy enough to employ this technique..LOL
hahahaha... I do that tooooo!!! I though I was superlazy not to get a chair or a step ladder!!!.. I am no alone!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery good video!! Thanks
I usually hop up on the counter on my knees, but this sounds so much easier. Now to get some tongs like that! Great vlog! :D
ReplyDeleteBridget you are so cute!!! Loved your video and tongs tip!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, I thought I was the only one that does that.
ReplyDeleteReally Bridget, no need to be nervous. You are adorable and very good on camera!
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute in person! I mean - yea um on your vlog! :) LOL!
ReplyDeletePS - Are you a Texas native?? I don't hear a really heavy accent :)
What a great idea. I have super tall cabinets when I am too. Lazy to get out the stool I climb like a 5 year old/ monkey. Probably takes more work. I get fussed at for it too. Ha. Maybe I'll bust out the tongs. Cute top too!
ReplyDeletelove the tongs tip and dude, you're cabinets are so organized...i have cabinet envy :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! You are a natural in front of the camera! Can't wait to see more 'vlogs'.
ReplyDeleteRenee
You're a natural in front of the camera! You have to do more of these. Great minds must think alike: I've been using the tongs tip for awhile now, it genius don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYou did great! I use tongs when my hubs isn't home too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that you vlogged! (oh yeah, I said vlogged because I'm cool like that).
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable and I loved seeing you! I would SO make you my friend in real life and I don't care how creepy that sounds.
;-)
Love your 1st video! I look forward to seeing more in the future. I adore that your little one was behind the video camera :-) And thanks for the great advice on the kitchen tongs....I often find myself dangerously climbing on stools just to reach what I need in the top cabinets.
ReplyDeleteYEAH!!!!!! You did it!!! Bridget that was SO STINKIN' CAUTE!!! you look adorable, you sound adorable! I LOVED it!....oh, and GREAT tip!! why'd I never think of that?
ReplyDeleteI'm only 5'2"....so I can't reach much in my kitchen! lol
You are such a cutie pie!! I must have more of these. You have got to vlog daily now!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings-
AManda
You look so cute, loved the video!
ReplyDeleteOur home looks better than I thought. And you and your videographer-apprentice make a good production team ;-) Nice work on your first video post!
ReplyDeleteMr. E....thank you, sweetie! I only showed the clean parts of the house! ;)
ReplyDeleteHousehold6Diva...I've spent most of my life in Texas, but have parents who grew up in Rhode Island/Oklahoma and Kansas, so I guess that cut down on the accent. :)
Great video....glad it worked.
ReplyDeleteMore videos! Please!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see your smiling face!!!!
ReplyDeleteGiven that I am "vertically challenged", coming in at about 5 feet & 1 1/4 inches, I use my tongs to reach a lot of things around the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteJust this week I used them to reach a basket up on top of our cabinets that I didn't realize my husband had filled with corks. I was quite surprised by the cork shower that poured over me. ;)
You are so cute! And I am totally using the tongs next time I can't reach something!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I usually don't watch vlogs but I love your blog so I clicked play. My baby was fascinated, too! You did a great job with the video, BTW!
ReplyDeletegreat video of you Bridget! but i know i'm shorter, a lot shorter than you that those tongs wouldn't help me much on that top shelf...i'd still have to drag over the step stool so i could reach it! :(
ReplyDeletebut, its a great idea! and i love the new video!!!!
love your kitchen and tip :)
ReplyDeletelol, I do that all the time. :)
ReplyDeleteBridget! You are so stinkin' cute! I love the video, great job!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this. Love you. Too cute. (How many times did you practice to get the tong grab just perfect?)
ReplyDeletethat was so funny - i love it! i'm going to have to try that from now on.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip! I usually have to drag out a footstool..never thought of the ole tongs. Great job on your video too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome tip! And you are just darlin'!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I am only 5 feet tall....so I always have that same dilemma! I'll have to try tongs next time when my tall hubby isn't around!
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh as I do the SAME thing!! If my tongs aren't clean, an ladle can help me scoop, bat it out, and hopefully I catch it. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are darling.. more vlogging!
Cute video!! Great idea :)
ReplyDeletehaha, I do the same thing!
