Today, we tackle Trader Joe's Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins.

According to Trader Joe's this is an "old world recipe" without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.
A 9-ounce box cost $3.99.

Also, 9 cookies = 130 calories.  Here's where my mind went: I can eat 18 cookies for 260 calories!!!
Please tell me your mind went there, too.

My take: My first impression of these cookies is from the scent; it's heavenly.  If you've ever picked up a Meyer Lemon in the grocery store and taken a big ol' whiff (yes, I'm *that* person), that's what you'll get here.  The cookies are thin, crispy, delicate, crunchy, full of citrus flavor...and absolutely addictive.  Ethereal.
Overall rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kiddo's Take: Sweet. Lemony. Buttery. What else can I say?
Overall rating 5 out of 5 stars

Trader Joe's Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins: soon to become a Trader Joe's staple in our house.

Want more Sweet on Trader Joe's reviews?  Here are the items we've tried so far:

  1. Whoo Hoo! I can comment here again. I've been enjoying your Trader Joe's posts very much. Honestly though, I think I'm thankful that we don't have one where I live. Judging from the reviews posted by you and Kiddo over these past several weeks, if we had a Traders Joe's handy, my waistline would be in big trouble!

  2. i've never commented before, but i need to say how much i LOVE your sweet on trader joe's posts. i frequently shop at TJ's, and look longingly at all the sweets, but now i know exactly what i will and won't like (and have been introduced to lots of things i've never seen in store)! thank you for this feature - i think it's so fun! :) - becca

  3. On our next trip to Vermont..I will stock up..we fell in love with their thin chocolate curved crunchy cookies and need more..:)
I like your tips..as we make a long over 2 hr drive to get to a TJ's:)

  4. So glad I didn't make it to Trader Joe's yesterday, before these cookies made my list.
Tried this little ice cream cones last week:) :):):):)

  5. I bought these a few weeks ago and ate the whole dang box in about 2 days. They were quite delish.

  6. I am loving all the reviews you're doing! Trader Joe's is one of my fave places, so I'll be sure to pick up a box of these cookies next time!

  7. At the Winston-Salem Trader Joe's they had a sign up that these were made locally. They look like the Moravian cookies made by the Salem Baking Company and have many of the same flavors.

  8. "I can eat 18 cookies for 260 calories!!!" >> Yes, that's exactly what I thought too! I'm that person who has two small slices of pie instead of just one regular slice. Even though it equates to the same thing... It makes me feel like I'm eating more! Crazy? Yes. Works for me? Can't deny it. 18 thin little cookies = clearly better than one regular-sized one!

  9. hmmm... my box of cookies said 9 cookies = 110 calories (not 130 per above)
a friend first turned me onto these cookies. she made whipped marscapone cheese and lemon curd. the thin lemon cookies were dipped in both - yum!
any other recipes anyone is aware of for a fancier dessert? TIA
