Sweet on Trader Joe's Saturday : Strawberry Champagne Truffles

What are YOU doing New Year's Eve? I'm looking forward to putting on the pajama pants I got for Christmas and falling asleep before the ball drops in Times Square. Woo hoo!

There was no resisting this cute box of truffles at Trader Joe's. Strawberry Champagne Truffles....champagne and strawberry in creamy white chocolate. I bought this box a week or so ago, but when I popped into TJs for a little bottle of bubbly yesterday, there were still plenty left.

A box of truffles costs $4.49.

A mom's (my) take: I'll tell you up front...I'm not a white chocolate fan. I actually missed that on the box where it mentions these are white chocolate. It may be clouding my review. I didn't even eat a whole truffle. The strawberry taste is definitely there, but no hint of champagne. They are creamy, very sweet, and if you like white chocolate, they just might be for you.
Overall rating: 3 of 5 stars

A teenager's (Jack's) take: I admit I'm not a huge fan of fruit being mixed with chocolate, but these are an exception. Strawberry-ness clearly emanates from these truffles, even when the first bit of the white chocolate coating touches your tongue. Of course, it is more flavorful inside! Although I have no idea what champagne tastes like, there is a different bubbly flavor mixed in with the strawberry, which I am sure must be the champagne flavoring. Even though they are very filling, I do recommend them! I might not try eating several at a time, though...

Trader Joe's Strawberry Champagne Truffles: split decision!

[note: We have no affiliation with Trader Joe's. I'm sure they have never read this blog and have no idea who we are. Hey, we like being incognito, although we never wear sunglasses indoors. ;)]

One more thing...I bought Trader Joe's pillar candles for some of our Christmas decor...they're AWESOME. Last forever, don't drip, highly recommend! Yay, TJs!

  1. Had to smile at Jack mentioning that he has no idea what champagne tastes like. :)

  2. Personally, I detest the taste of sparkling wine, which us what passes for champagne here in the US, and am not a large white chocolate fan, although I LOVE strawberry. I'd give these a shot! And I hope you don't stop doing these reviews, even if you have to really dig for items to review!!

  3. Those star napkins! I love those

  4. I enjoy the your TJ reveiws. No TJ's close by so we plan about 2 visits a year and I try to reveiw yours & Jack's posts before we go! Keep up the great posts.

  5. Love these reviews. Now Midland needs a Trader Joes!

  6. Champagne, all things considered, is a tasteful drink and it doesn't take a gander at all in the event that you serve champagne on drinking glasses, margarita glasses or plastic tumblers.wine club

  7. I am genuinely thankful to the holder of this web page who has shared this wonderful paragraph at at this place picbear
