So much chocolate is packed into these chocolate streusel muffins. You may think you can't handle this much chocolate - trust me, you can. As the name implies, there's a chocolate streusel on top. Between that and the muffin batter, you'll use two kinds of chocolate chips and a generous amount of cocoa powder.

chocolate milk

Here's the kicker. We're using CHOCOLATE MILK!!! (I love an excuse to buy chocolate milk.)

Serve them warm for ultimate decadence, but these muffins are also exquisite at room temperature.

  1. I made these for our book group and everyone loved them. I did find the topping rather dry, maybe it needed more butter as it was very fine and powdery. I will absolutely have another go at them. x

  6. These chocolate streusel muffins are fully surrounded by the chocolate. See https://inkbotdesign.com/boosting-your-brand-recognition/ for more info. My family is a chocolate lover family and I reckon by making chocolate streusel muffins, I will get the praise of my kids and my parents.

  7. unfortunately I copied the recipe when it first came out and didn't check back when I baked these muffins. The original recipe said ONE TBS of butter in the streusel. (I even added an extra TBS just to get it to hold together.) It has now been updated to FOUR, and that makes a big difference. I have now read that several people commented here and on the PW site that the streusel was too dry.
tasty muffin, but wish I had re-checked the site before I made them.

  8. I just made these and they were great. However there was a problem. Going through the reciepts I preheated the oven at 350 per the instructions. At the bottom of the page it states cook at 425. This was not my first cooking time. I was able to verify done properly. Just need to fix is it 350 or 425.

    1. Hi there! I'm not seeing anywhere in the recipe that says to preheat at 350. My blog is called "Bake at 350." Could that be the issue?
