Trader Joe's Decked Out Tree Cookies review

Our review this week - Trader Joe's Decked Out Tree Cookies. TJ's has so many sensational Christmas goodies each year, and I love it when I spy a new one. (This one is new to us, anyway.)

As described on the package, the cookies are decorated with "milk chocolate filling, white chocolate drizzle, and festive sprinkles." A box of 8 costs $2.49.

Coming in at 4 inches tall, the cookies also have a milk chocolate backside. (Just ignore that sentence, please.) The backs are dipped in a thin layer of milk chocolate. (Better.)

She said: Oh! I wasn't expecting to like these as much as I do. The cookies are delightfully crisp but not dry. The milk chocolate filling actually sits in a little tree-shaped "reservoir," so to speak, in the middle of the cookie. Nonpareils add a satisfying crunch. In love. Could eat the entire box in an afternoon. The cookies are pretty enough for a holiday dessert platter.

He (Jack) says: I love the combination of what tastes like hazelnutty chocolate with the shortbread-like cookie base; it's a really good duo of flavors. The soft chocolate center balances out the hardness of the cookie, and the sprinkles add more surprises in the consistency. Finally, I feel like it's an automatic improvement when you add the thin layer of chocolate on the bottom! You can't go wrong with these!
