Back in July, I posted a step-by-step tutorial for making pastry cream and told you to hang on to that recipe because you were going to need it. The time has come.
It's time to make CREAM PUFFS!!!
Cream puffs are utterly magical, joy-inducing, sent-from-the-heavens, cream-filled pastries. You want to make these. You do!
Granted, these take a bit more time to make than a pan of brownies, but they're not super complicated. The pastry dough is made on the stove in a pan!
The finished puffs are airy with a crisp exterior.
The cream is, as we've previously discussed, glorious.
Put them together, and you have a recipe worthy of a bakery pastry case!
One of my fave things to make..yours are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe made cream puffs in 9th grade Home Economics. Ours were not this pretty:) Yum!!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you, So glad to hear you and your family are safe through the storm. I too have watched and listened to story after story of devastation and heartbreak in Houston and surrounding areas, my nephews live there and I lived there for 16 years have family and friends there. Its heartbreaking, but so glad you have this blog to keep busy with. And helping your fellow Texans also is great!! Take care and I love your blog. Thank you for posting on the pioneer woman's blog with the cream puffs. Love them and that recipe is so simple. Not sure what is going on with Ree Drummond, all her shows on Food Network are reruns hope she isn't getting cancelled. Thanks again.
