How about Spaghetti & Meatball cupcakes?!?
It's Easter week and I was busy with cookie orders, excuses, excuses. Last night, kiddo says, "so, what are you doing for April Fools' Day this year?"
Well, the guilt hit me like a ton of bricks. Shouldn't I do something special? Are these the things he will (hopefully) remember 7 years from now when he's away at college (sob!)? I'm hoping the sugar will drown out memories of all of my griping & nagging.
{That and I'm Catholic, so guilt comes pretty easily for me.}
{Will you think less of me if I tell you that I LIKE canned frosting? No? Oh, good.}
We dropped some off for my 3-year-old nephew who said, "Oh, spaghetti & meatballs are so GOOD for me!" Smart guy!

I will admit, in canned frosting-aholics anonymous, that I can eat the stuff, by the canful, with a spoon, no cake involved.:)

ReplyDeletei bought hello, cupcake and love everything in it but have yet to make a single one.
ReplyDeletecouple of questions :-), what tip did you use to make the "spaghetti"? do you have to soften canned frosting to use for this or do you literally just dump into the piping bag?
and i ADORE canned frosting. during particularly stressful times, i have been known to keep a tub in the refrigerator and eat directly out of it until my problems have vanished. (or i'm in a sugar coma)
WOW!!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!! This makes me so so hungry, for both something savory AND sweet, LOL! Fantastic! Incredible pictures too - as usual :-)
ReplyDeletethat's so fun!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I could really use one of those right about now!
ReplyDeleteaimee... I used a #2 or #3 tip (I can't remember!!!) after covering the top with a layer of frosting...that way no plain cake showed through.
ReplyDeleteI just stirred in the food coloring, then used it right way...room temp.
These are so adorable!!
